HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME:
On 22.07.2015, 11 Volunteers of Women Cell created an awareness regarding health. 40 village people of Gopalapuram benefited by this programme. Volunteers insisted the food habit lifestyle and how to take care of the health of the human beings. What are all the diseases arising out of mosquitos and how it can be avoided are also suggested to the Villagers.
SERVICES TO THE ORPHANAGE PEOPLE:
On the birth anniversary of Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam, Our Women cell volunteers visited the Leve Old age Home. The students interacted with the Old Age PEOPLE. They cleaned the rooms, washed the clothes of old age people. They distributed fruits and snakes to them. Through this, the students came to know how the old age should be taken care off.
2016 - 2017
COTTAGE INDUSTRIES:
On behalf of Idhaya college for Women Cell Committee on 25th June, 2016 at 11.30 am, has arranged to teach, teaching cottage industry around our college as Gopalapuram, Nagamathi and Poradaippu. It has been handled in such a way as to help windows and the poor. All of the activities were completed in front of Mrs.Maheswari an entrepreneur, and Kalaiyarkovil, an invited guest of the event. Public also has showed their interest to learn.
AWARNESS ON TYROID:
On the 16th of July 2016 at 9.30 am, Women Cell held a Thyroid camp. Our institution students and faculty members were consulted to screen blood for thyroid tests. After completing the camp, the women’s committee went around the college of Gopalapuram, Nagamathi and Poradaippu to raise thyroid consciousness and suggest that they check their blood before breakfast on daily basis.
TREE PLANTATION:
The WomenCell Committee of Idhaya College has arranged a planning event at the Government Teacher Training Institution premises at Kayarkovil to commemorate Dr.A.B.J.Abdul Kalam’s birthday. Dr.Gnanasmpantham Principal of Government Teacher Training Instition, Led a group of 15 Women Cell Students in Planting siblings. The event was attended by the Collector of Sivaganga, 34 first-year teacher training students and Mrs.A.Xavier Rani Co-Ordinaror of the Women Cell, Idhaya College.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
The Idhaya College Women Cell Committee organized a blood pressure and thyroid awareness event in rural areas. Two nurses from the New Raj Lab in Karaikudi have been invited to spread information about blood pressure and thyroid disease among the general public. Thyroid patients who have received bills have been the subject of statistical studies. There are two patients having bills regularly under the doctor’s guidance.
2017 - 2018
LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME:
Women Cell Organized legal awareness programme in our college on 20.07.2017 at Management Block. Our Principal Dr.Sr.C.Jothimary felicitated the gathering. Ms.R.Ananthi at III B.A, English welcomed the gathering. Mr.M.Sornalingam, Govt. Advocate, Devakottai was invited as a Special Guest. He explained that all the criminals should be punished. Mr.S.Kumar was also invited as a special invitee for this programme. He explained about the ragging to our students. He insisted the students to avoid the child marriage. Mrs.M.Manimegalai, Assistant said that we are ready to help you at any crisis. She gave her mobile number also to the students. Nearly 20 students were participated. The function came to an end at 3.15 pm with vote of thanks by the Women Cell Co-Ordinator Mrs.A.Xavier Rani.
AWARNESS ON THYROID:
Women Cell organized Thyroid awareness programme on 23.01.2019 at our College Open Auditorium. Mr. Raj, Lab Assistant, Karaikudi and Nurses from Kavitha Hospital came and helped by checking the blood and also Thyroid. Our Staff Members, Students and Non Teaching Staffs have taken the Thyroid Test.
NATIONAL VOTERS DAY:
To give awareness about Voters day the Women Cell organized competitions Like Essay Writing, Oratory Speech and Drawing Competition on 25.01.2018. Mrs.K.Vairalakshmi, HOD of Tamil Department Explained the importance of Voting and the duties of Voting. Mrs.S.Mercy, Co-Ordinator Youth Red Cross and Mrs R.Jeyanthi NSS Co-Ordinator were participated in this competition. The Function came to an end with National Anthem.
WIDOWS CENSUS ON BELOW POVERTY LINE:
The Women Cell of the College Conducted a survey on the Women who lost their husbands and suffering for livelihood. Women Cell Co-Ordinator Mrs.A.Xavier Rani along with the Volunteers identified the weak and poor women. At the initiation and recommendation of our college women cell five of the neighboring village women got employment opportunity in Kaleeswara National Textile Corporation, Kalaiyarkovil.
2018-2019
TEACHING HANDICRAFTS:
On 25.09.2018 the Women Cell of the College conducted a Programme in the adopted Village Poradaippu and Vellikatti. Mrs A.Xavier Rani along with the Volunteers learnt how to make handicraft products to the village people. The villages were very eager and thanked our women cell Co-Ordinator and the volunteers.
TEACHING HANDICRAFTS:
Our Women Cell Co-Ordinator and five Volunteers went to a nearby village Gopalapuram on 06.07.2018 and teach the village people how to make Handicraft items. 25 Villages benefited out of this Programme.
MEDICAL AWARENESS CAMP :
The Women Cell, NSS, EDC, Rotaract and RRC conducted a medical awareness programme on 21.08.2018. The Chief Guest for this Programme is Dr.M.Porselvi, Anbu Ramachandira Hospital, Devakottai. She addressed our students and insisted the physical health for mental strongness. Also asked the students to have a good food habit. She advised the students to the preventive than cure.
UNEMPLOYMENT SURVEY :
Women Cell of our College conducted a survey of unemployment on 17.10.2018 at nearby village people of Nagamathi. This survey is related to unemployment people those who are Knowing the Tailoring. The purpose of this survey was to send the village women to work in the factory which was located in Kayaodai nearby Kalaiyarkovil, Sivaganaga (Dt). We collected the mobile number from the selected candidate. Nearly 5 students of our Cell were participated. All the arrangements of this programme were made by women cell Co-Ordinator Mrs M.Soniya

SMALL SCALE PROFESSIONS :
Small Scale Professions like how to prepare Phenol in, Soap has been taught to the people of our adopted village Nagamathi on 26.02.2019. Mrs.Maheswari, Entrepreneur took part in that programme and taught the people village people were and enthusiastically participated. It was organized by the Women Cell Club.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME:
Women Cell organized Orientation Programme on 18.07.2019.Mrs.A.Xavier Rani Ex Co-Ordinator of Women Cell was invited as a Resource person. She explained the importance and usefulness at women cell. Mrs.P.gokula Varthini of Tamil Dept welcomed the gathering. Mrs.K.Vairalakshmi Hod of Tamil Dept felicitated the gathering. In order to motivate the students verse writing and awareness song were performed by senior students. The Report (2015-2019) of Women Cell club was explained to the student through PPT. Mrs.M.Soniya Co-Ordinator of Women Cell proposed Vote of Thanks. The function came to an end with National Anthem.
HOME APPLIANCE TEACHING:
Women Cell of our college conducted Home Appliance Teaching on 14.08.2019. The main aim of teaching was how to beautify the house during the free time. For that, we selected two villages nearby our college such us. Nagamathi and Gopalapuram, All the arrangement was made by the club Co-Ordinator Mrs.M.Soniya for this guidance programme. In this programme, 5 students of women cell were participated and gave awareness about the house hold things and also they explained about how to make the home decoration things. This event was attracted by the women village people and they are eagerly participated and benefited.

WOur Women Cell members visited the Leve Old Age Home as per the monthly plan on 20.12.2019 at 10.30 am. Our Women Cell Members cleaned the rooms and arranged the things. Comp their nails and plugged the grass. Most of our members distributed biscuits and snacks. Ms.A.Pradeepa III B.A, Tamil Women Cell President led this service. Nearly 5 students enthusiastically participated this service. We returned at 12.00 pm.
WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION:
Women Cell at our adopted village on 07.03.2020 the celebration was started with prayer song. Our Principal Rev.Sr.Dr.C.Jothimary presided over the function. Dr.Kannusamy Karthikeyan M.D, City Welfare centre, Karaikudi was invited as a Special Guest. Mr.Subbaish president, vellikatti panchayat was also invited as a special invitee. Mrs.K.Vaiaralakshmi Head of the Department at Tamil welcomed the gathering. It was followed by felicitation by our Principal. The Chief Guest a wonderful speech about women. Women are the best creation by God. So as you are women, you should achieve everything and he wished us to achieve more and more in future. Competitions like Rangoli, Musical Chair and pulling the rope were conducted for village people and the winners were distributed prizes by the Chief Guest. Our student’s performance cultural programme. Nearly 250 students were participated Mrs.M.Soniya, Women Cell Co-Ordinator proposed Vote of thanks. The Programme was ended with National Anthem.
E-Quiz on “WOMEN ACHIEVERS"
Women Cell Organized E-Quiz on “WOMEN ACHIEVERS” programme on 09.06.2020 to 11.06.2020 through Google meet portal. In this programme, the professors and students from various colleges were participated in this E-Quiz. All the participants were received their certificate through their registered E-Mail Id. This Programme was organized by Mrs.M.SONIYA, Women Cell, Co-coordinator.
