NATIONAL SEMINAR

BENIFICIARIES : 110 STUDENTS
National Seminar was organized by our “Pothigai Thendral” Club on 15.07.2015 at our college Closed auditorium. The Topic was “Aaiviyal Nokkil Pakthi Kotpadugal”.
Dr. Pon Adiyan (Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai) was the chief guest for our function. Mrs S.Josephine Arul Jothi Department of Tamil welcomed the gathering.
The Chief Guest gave a Valuable Speech about the topic “Aaiviyal Nokkil Kaappiya Amaippu Murai” to the students. It was a motivating factor to our students and gathered lot of information from the seminar. Participation certificate were given to all the beneficiaries. Nearly 110 Students and 10 Staffs from other colleges were present. Mrs R.Rameswari Department of Tamil, proposed the vote of thanks. Finally we concluded the function with National Anthem.

International Seminar was organized by our “Pothigai Thendral” Club on 14 th and 15th December 2016 at our college Closed auditorium. The Topic was ‘’Tamil Ilakkiyangalil Vazhkai Nerimuraikal”. Dr R.Vimallan (Tamil Teacher in Sigapore Amaichu, Singapore) & Dr.A.Kuppusamy Appasamy (Secratory, Kolalampur, Malaysia) Dr. M.Pandi , Head of the Department , Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
Dr.MS.Kanmani, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Sri Sevugan Annamalai College, Devakottai. Dr.A.Bharathi Rani Asst Professor in Tamil, Govt Arts College, Ramnad were the chief guests we published a book with ISBN number.
Dr.M.Pandi published a Book of ‘’Tamil Ilakkiyangalil Vaazhkai Nerimuraikal” HOD of our Department and Mrs. K.Vairalakshmi HOD of Tamil Received the book. Professors, Research Scholar’s, and all the Students Presented a paper related to that topic.

The Topic was ‘’Tamil Ilakkiyangal Suttum Vaazhviyal Aram.” Mr Karuppannan (Malaysia Tamil Ilakkiya Kazhagam, Malaysia) Dr. K.Murugan Asst Prof in Tamil, Sri Sevugan Annamalai College of Devakottai.
Dr. R.Poonkuzhali , Head of the Department, Madurai Sivakasi Nadar Pioneer Meenakshi Women’s College, Poovanthi. Dr A.Bharathi Rani, Asst Prof in Tamil, Govt Arts College, Karaikudi were the Chief Guests for the function. We published a Book of “Tamil Ilakkiyangal Suttum Vaazhviyal Aram” Professors, Research Scholar’s, and some of the Students presented the paper. Dr.M.Karuppannan published it. The first copy was received by Dr.C.Jothimary.

Department of Tamil conducted National online Quiz on TAMIL ILAKKIA THIRANARI THERVU on 25.05.2020 to 26.05.2020. That programme was organized by Department of Tamil. The Quiz was conducted with a focus on Tamil ilakkiam . Nearly 502 Participants like Students, Research Scholars and Faculty members have participated from various institutions at different places in all over the nation. All the students and staff members were eagerly participated. The participants received e-certificate who got pass mark in this Quiz and updated their knowledge for Tamil ilakkiam.

Our Department Organized three days International Seminar on theTopic “Tamil Kavingarkalum – Tamilar Ilakkiyankalum”. The Seminar was started with the felicitation address by our principal Dr.Sr.C.Jothimary.
On the first day, Mrs.k.Vairalakshmi, HOD & Asst Prof in Tamil, Idhaya College for women, Sarugani. Welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Stephan Michael Raj, Veeramamunivar Kalai Ilakkiya Manram Started the session with his motivational speech. Writer T.Stalin Gunasekaran, Makkal Sinthanai Peravai gave a wonderful speech on “ Bharathi Oru Tamil Kanal”. In the afternoon session Mr.Solaiyappan, Asst Professor, Abuthabi Tamil Sangam, Abuthabi gave a lecture on “ Valluvam Katru Thelivom”. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Rahavendiran Karaikudi.
The Second day seminar was started with Welcome Address by Dr.R.Rameswari Asst Prof in Tamil, Idhaya College for women, Sarugani. It was followed by a Writer Jolna Javahar, V.O.C Ilakkiya vaanam, delivered his presidential address. Kalaimamani Dr.Balaramani, Awarded first Tamil Nadu Kampar Award gave a special address on “Nenjaiyallum Silappathikaram”. Dr.K.Santhini, Asso Prof, GTN Arts & Science College gave her wonderful speech on “Paventharai Padippom”. The second day was concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.R.Viswa, Madampoor.
The Third seminar was started with Welcome Address by Dr.M.Stephan Michael Raj, Veeramamunivar Kalai Ilakkiya Manram. Prof Penjamin ilebo, gave a lecturer on “Inaveluchi pavarasar – Mudiyarasar. Mrs.k.Vairalakshmi, HOD & Asst Prof in Tamil, Idhaya College for women, Sarugani proposed vote of thanks.
Nearly 100 participants actively participated and interacted with the speakers very effectively. They clarified their doubt. The participants were given participation certificates. On the whole it was very useful and the participants were benefitted.
