ROTARY INSTALLATION
DATE: 17.07.2014

Rotary Devakottai has conducted the Installation ceremony in order to select elect the Rotary President and Secretary for this year 2014-2015. Since we had Rotaract in our college, our Principle Rev.Dr.Jasmine and our Rotaract Co ordinator Mrs.R.Vijayalakshmi attended this function. The newly elected President Rtn.K.R.Murugan and Secretary Rtn.Venkatasubbu were honored by our Principal.

DONATION OF BLACK BOARDS
DATE: 06. 08. 14

Rotaract Club of Devakottai, sponsored two green hanging boards for our college. It was possible by our request and the steps taken by our Rotaract Coordinator Mrs.R.Vijayalakshmi. That board was so useful for us and the students felt happy.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
DATE: 14.08.2014

Independence Day was celebrated by our Rotaract club students at Leve Old Age Home- A home for Old Age and Orphans, Arockia Hospital, Sarugani. Delicious and Tasty lunch was provided to them. Rev. Dr. Jasmine, our Principal presided over and Rtn. K.R. Murugan, President of Rotary Club, Devakottai felicitated the gathering. They issued toilet things worth Rs. 10,000 to the home.

GROUND CLEANING
DATE: 10. 09. 2014

In order to make the College premises neat and tidy. Our club members cleansed the area by collecting polythene bags and plucking the grass and shrubs. By this activity we know the value of labour and feel proud to keep our Campus clean and polythene free.

DENGUE AWARENESS
DATE: 08. 10. 2014
ACTIVITY: RALLY

Rotaract club students extended their participation by joining with a Rally which was organized to give awareness on eradication of Dengue fever. They explained the Dengue fever and its symptoms and how to prevent it. They emphasized the value of keeping clean environment. Nearly 50 students attended the Rally.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
DATE: 18. 12. 2014

Rotaract club of our college celebrated Christmas celebration with Kalayarkoil Rotary Club Supreme at Yesuvanam on 18th Dec 2014. Rtn. Prakash, President, Rtn. Amalan Ashok, Asst. Governor, Mr. Arul Samy, Secretary participated in this celebration.  Rev. Fr. Kulandai Samy, Rector, Yesuvanam, Pallithammam presided over the function. Our club along with Rotary Club- Supreme, Kalayarkoil donated dresses to all the children. Our college sponsored Rs. 4500 for providing meals to them. Our students performed colourful cultural programme and entertained them.

GROUND CLEANING

As a month activity Rotaract Club Students cleansed Our College. They picked up the stones and broomed the ground. They rendered this service very enthusiastically. Nearly 15 students involved in this service. Rotaract Club president,   Ms. Praveena led the work.

2015-2016
DISTRICT YOUTH SEMINAR
DATE: 13.09.2015

Our Rotaract students attended the District Youth Seminar which was organized by Devakottai Rotary Club on 13. Sep.2015 at Thaimahal, Devakottai. Nearly 25 students of our College Rotaract Club participated. The session was started at 10.00 am with registration.      Rtn. Er. M Amalan Ashok delivered the welcome address and Rtn. J. Navamani, District Governor, inaugurated the seminar. Rtr. Rajkumar Madhan and ITR A. Jenisha were elected as representative of Rotaract and Interact Clubs and both of them accepted and took oath. The presidential address was delivered by Rtn. PDG. AP. Kanna. He gave a motivational talk and Interacted with our students. It was very useful to the students. The famous Tamil Orator Mrs. Bharathy Baskar conveyed motivational speech to the Rotary members and students. Her speech was informative and interesting for the new generation.

DENGUE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
DATE: 15.10.2015

Our Rotaract students organized the Dengue Awareness Program on 15.October.2015 at 1.30 pm at Chokanathapuram Village, which is near by our College. Nearly 23 students contributed their service. Rotaract secretary  Miss G. Seethadevi took initiative. They interacted with the village people. They insisted about the cleanliness around their residence and also our students cleansed the village. They explained to take the precautions to the dengue fever and how to prepare the herbal medicine at their houses. They visited nearly 35 houses. They people co-operated and observed the given information.

ROTARY COMPETITION
DATE: 28 & 29. 11. 2015

Ramnagar Parks Rotary club has conducted a competition on the topic of “Neengalum Padalam Adal Kaneero” on 28th and 29th Nov 2015 at Devakottai. Rtn. Mr. T. Arul Chezhian President of Ramnagar gave the welcome address. Rtn. Dr. S. Sheiksalim Rotary Club of Kutralam delivered the chief guest address. Dr. S. Subbaiah Vice chancellor of Alagappa University Karaikudi presided over the function. Seven Schools and three Colleges were participated in this competition. Out of these our Rotaract Club students were won the first prize in group dance. Nearly eight students participated in this programme.

GROUND CLEANING
DATE: 18. 12. 2015

Our Rotary club motto is to serve above yourself. They would like to keep the environment as dust free. Our students cleansed our campus on 18 December 2015. They plugged the grass and picked up the stone and broomed the ground. Rotaract Club President   Ms. R. Shillpa led the work. Nearly 50 Students involved in this work. They rendered this service very enthusiastically.

Our Rotaract members sponsored an amount of Rs. 2000/ to ST. MICHAEL LEPROSY HOME, PANIPET, HARIYANA for as per their requisition. The amount was transferred through the Bank on 24. 3. 2016.

2016-2017
GREEN PLANTATION
DATE: 25.06.2016

Our Rotaract club initiated this academic year with inaugural function. The inauguration gave importance to make the environment eco friendly. Sr. Josephine, The Vice Principal, Idhaya College for Women, Sarugani presided over and delivered the inaugural address. In her address she expressed the values about tree plantation, the effects of global warming and the defects deforestation and to keep the campus as eco friendly. She planted small herbal plants, Shrubs, Crotons. It was followed by Mrs. Kanmalar, Asst. Prof., Department of Commerce with Computer Application the Rotaract Co-ordinator Mrs. S. Mercy other Rotaract. Nearly 30 students eagerly participated in planting the herbal plants.

VISITED THE LEVE OLD AGE HOME
DATE: 16 July 2016

Our Rotaract students visited the old age people at Leve Old Age Home Arockianagar, Sarugani on 16.07.2016. They contributed biscuits and dress materials to them. They interacted with the people and cleansed the places, cut their nails, and comb their hairs etc, Nearly 50 students involved in this service. They rendered this service very enthusiastically and the people felt happy.

INSTALLATION FUNCTION

Rotary Club, Devakottai organized the installation ceremony on 16th July 2016 at Ananda College, Devakottai. Rtn.PHF.C. Bose and Rtn. PHF.T. Karthigai were elected as a president and secretary along with the team members. Mrs. S. Mercy the club coordinator attended the function for the acknowledgement of invitation. 

INSTALLATION CEREMONY

The installation ceremony of Rotaract Club for this year on 20. 9.2016 at 2 pm. The function was started with rotary prayer Rtr. Susmitha welcomed the gathering. Rtr. K. Illakiya and Rtr. P. Sangeetha were elected as president and secretary and took charge in the presence of Dr. KR. Periyasamy Asst. Governor, Rtn. C. Bose, Rotary President Devakottai. Dr. Periyasamy delivered the chief guest address. In his speech, he highlighted the abolishment of polio vaccination by the Universal Rotary Club throughout India. Finally Rtr. P. Sangeetha delivered the vote of thanks. Nearly 80 members were participated this function.

ROTARACT DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
DATE: 24.09.2016

Rotaract District Assembly was organized by Devakottai and Ramnagar Rotary Club at Ananda College, Devakottai. The function started at 10.30 am with Rotary prayer. Technical session started at 11.00 am. Prof. N. Janakiraman gave valuable motivational speech about the various ways to serve to the society. Followed by Rtn. P. Manikandan,  Advocate, expressed the history and bylaws of Rotary and Rotaract club. In his speech he expressed the role of Rotaract President and benefits availed by rotaract members from the Rotary and society. The District Governor and Asst Governor presided over this function. Nearly 20 members attended this seminar.

TREE PLANTATION
DATE: 15.10.2016

Our Rotaract Club celebrated the commemoration of our former president Dr. APJ. Abdhul Kalam’s birthday on 15th Oct 2016 at Sivankovil,  Iraguseri, Devakottai. He said that every young people have to take oath to plant 5 trees and nurture them. Our Rotaract members along with two staff members very enthusiastically participated to clean in and around the temple. By planting the trees inside the temple campus

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL VOTERS DAY
DATE: 25TH JAN 2017

National Voters Day falls on 25th Jan of every year. Our Rotaract members and the coordinator have arranged a Rally from Sarugani to Arockianagar at 10.00am. The chief guest on that day was Mrs. P. Mangaleshwari, Thasildhar, Devakottai, Mr. Saravanan Revenue Inspector, Mr. Kannan, Zonal Deputy Election Thasilthar and Mrs. Sethunambi, Election Deputy Thasilthar Devakottai. The Rally was flagged by Thasilthar. Miss P.Mangaleshwari delivered a special address. After Rally Mr. Kannan, Zonal Deputy Thasilthar gave a special address about To Apply voters ID card, To highlight the necessity of voting, Young generation can motivate others to vote a right person. After his, speech Selvi Sahaya Rani Election Ambassador took an oath. Nearly 100 Rotaract members participated and benefited.

2017-2018
GROUND CLEANING
DATE: 29. 07. 2017

Our Rotaract Club students would like to keep the environment polythene free. So on 29.07.2017, our Rotaractors cleansed the management block. They picked up the polythene bags and waste materials here and there and fired them. By this service, we realized the value of labour and feel proud to keep area campus clean and polythene free. Our Rotaract president     Rtr. B. Sangeetha III B.Com CA led the work. Nearly 20 students were participated in this service.

DENGUE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
DATE: 18.08.2017

Our Rotaract and NSS students organized the Dengue awareness programme on 18.08.2017 at our Idhaya Indoor Auditorium. Mr. M. Murugan Counsellor, Primary Health Centre, Thiruvegampet, contributed this camp sufficiently. Dr. G. Prabu Siddha Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Thiruvegampet, delivered Chief Guest address. In his speech, he indicated to take precautions to protect against Dengue fever and he initiated to take the herbal medicine and distributed to the students. Some of our Rotaract and NSS volunteers distributed the herbal medicine to all the students of our College. Nearly 1200 students were benefited from this awareness programme.

TO LEVE OLD AGE HOME
DATE: 19.09. 2017

Our Rotaract students visited old age people at Leve Old Age Home, Arockianagar, Sarugani on 19.09.2017. They contributed biscuits and toilet things to them. They interacted with the people and cleansed the places, cut their nails, comb their hairs and the grass near by the home was removed by our volunteers.  Nearly 60 students were involved in this service. They rendered this service very enthusiastically and the people felt very happy co-operated with them.

Our Rotaract Club installation ceremony for this year was celebrated on 21 Sep 2017.    Mrs. S. Mercy delivered the welcome address. Rtr. B. Sangeetha and Rtr. K. Sangeetha was elected as a president and Secretary and took charge in the presence of Rtn. Phf. Adv. Manikandan, Asst. Governor Zone – 22, and Rtn. P. Malayappan, Rotary President of  Devakottai, Rtn. R. Megala, Chairman of Rotaract Club. Rev. Sr. C. Jothi Mary felicitated this function. Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi, Head of the department of Commerce with Computers Application gave the motivational talk. Asst Governor Zone – 22 Rtn. Phf. Adv. Manikandan express the special address. Nearly 140 members participated in this function.

CELEBRATION OF FOUNDERS WEEK
DATE: 11.10 2017

Our Rotaract Club combined with NSS planted trees and on the occasion of celebrating the founder’s week on 11 October 2017. Rev. Mother. Maria Stella, Superior presided over this tree plantation programme and planted the first sapling by her hand. She also emphasized the need of tree plantation and gave awareness of making our environment green. Nearly 35 students of our club and 40 of NSS Club were planted 75 trees. Mrs. S. Mercy, Rotaract Club co-ordinator and Mrs. R. Jeyanthi, NSS Club co-ordinator made all arrangements.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL VOTERS DAY
DATE: 25.01. 2018

National Voters Day falls on 25th Jan of every year. Our Rotaract members along with the NSS Club members and the coordinators of both clubs have arranged a Rally from Sarugani to Arockianagar at 10.00am. The chief guest on that day was Mr.V. Sivasambo, Thasildhar, Devakottai, Mr.G. Saravanan, Revenue Inspector and Mr.A. Rajendran, Election Junior Assistant, Devakottai. The Rally was flagged by Thasildhar, Mr. V. Sivasambo after his special address.  In his speech he expressed about - The Rights of the voters, Necessity of voting and Voters ID and He motivated the students to apply the Voters ID, after his speech Selvi. N. Nanthini, Election Ambassador took an oath. For this awareness program, three hundred and sixty of our Idhaya students applied for Voter ID. Nearly one hundred and fifty Rotaractors and two hundred fifty NSS members enthusiastically participated.

2018-2019
GYNECOLOGICAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME
DATE: 21. 08. 2018

            Our Rotaract Club combined with all club Association organized the Gynecological awareness programme. Dr. P.Porselvi Mathavamoorthy MBBS, DGO, was the chief guest. She gave awareness on how to maintain women’s health, the issues on menstruation period, taking the nutritional food, diet etc. Our students benefited out of this programme. Finally the programme was ended with vote of thanks and National Anthem.

Karthigai, President, Rotary Club, Devakottai, Rtn. Phf. S.Madhan Kumar, Secretary, Rotary Club, Devakottai. The programme was started with prayer song. Mrs. S. Mercy delivered welcome address. Rev. Sr. Sennila Mary, Head clerk of Idhaya College for Women lighted the lamp. Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi, Head of the Department of Commerce with Computer Application felicitated this function. Rotary President T.Karthigai and Rtn. Phf. G. Muthukumar, Rotary Dist. Asst. Governor gave the motivational speech. Nearly one hundred and fifty members participated in this function.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL VOTERS DAY

National Voters Day falls on 25th Jan of every year. Our Idhaya NSS and Rotaract club coordinators arranged a programme. Mrs. S. Mercy, Rotaract coordinator and Mrs. SP. Sala, NSS coordinator gave some valuable speech about- The rights of the voters, Necessity of voting & The Voters ID to elect the right person of our Govt. and they motivated the students to apply the Voters ID. After the speech, the members took an oath. Nearly 400 students participated in this awareness programme.

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS
DATE: 23.02. 2019

Road Safety Awareness Programme was organized by Rotaract, NSS, RRC and YRC clubs combined with Rotary Club of Devakottai on 23.3.2019 at Devakottai. The Rally was flagged by Asst. Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District. Rally started from the union office to Thiyagigal Park of Devakottai. Rtn. T. Karthigai, President of Rotary Club welcomed the gathering. Dr. Jeyakumar was the chief guest. He mentioned about rules and regulation to be followed during travel time. Ms. Pandi Priya, II Maths expressed her views about road safety. Mrs. Mercy, Rotaract coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. Nearly 300 students participated.

2019-2020
HELPING TO THE DESERVED STUDENT

Our Rotaract Club co-coordinator arranged the sponsor Mrs. C. Shanthi Mercy Grecy, The Member Ramnagar Parks Rotary Club to motivate the deserved and intelligent students. She contributes Rs. 9,000 for every semester to Ms. S. Sathya, II B.Com CA. On 07.07.2019 our    co-ordinator and Ms. Sathya and her Mother attended the Ramnagar Parks Installation function at Devakottai. In that function they received tuition fees for this semester

ORPHANAGE VISIT
DATE: 25.07. 2019
PLACE: Nirmal Orphanage, Amaravathipudhur.

On  25. 07. 2019, Our Rotaract students visited the Nirmal Orphanage a speciality School meant for mentally retarded at Amaravathipudhur, Devakottai. Nearly 70 children are studying. The classes are deviated according to their skills,and IQ. Our Rotaract Secretary Miss. R. Rasika, II B. Com CA led this programme. Nearly 25 members took part in this service.

Our Rotaract Club installation ceremony for this year was celebrated on 13 Aug 2018. Rtr. D. Prameshwari and Rtr. R. Rasika were elected as President and Secretary and took charge in the presence of Rtn. Phf. R. Antony Xavier, President, Rotary Club, Devakottai, and Rtn. Phf. S.Madhan Kumar, Secretary, Rotary Club, Devakottai. The programme was started with prayer song. Dr. S. Amala delivered the welcome address. Rev. Fr. Cyril director of Gonsovil felicitated this ceremony.Dr. Sr. Sabin, Vice Principal, Idhaya College for Women, gave motivational speech. Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi, Head of the Department of Commerce with Computer Application delivered a keynote. Rtn. PP. S. Chinna Sevugan, Rotary Club of Chennai, RA Puram East delivered the chief guest address. Nearly 200 members participated in this function.

FIRE AND SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME
DATE: 3.10.2019

Our Rotaract club conducted Fire and Safety Awareness Programme om 03.10.2019 at am. The programme was inaugurated by our Principal Dr.C.Jothi Mary. Mr.Ekoji Rao, Member of Lions Club was the chief Guest. Mr.Nagarajan, Inspector of Fire Station, Devakottai delivered an awareness speech about the Safety measures. Two of the fire service police gave demonstration to all our students and practice them to handle the fire extinguisher. This programme was very useful to the students they can understand the precautionary activities during the fire events. Miss.D.Parameshwari, President of Rotaract Club welcomed the gathering. The programme was ended with college anthem. Nearly one thousand hundred and fifty (1,150) students and sixty five (65) staff members benefited out of this awareness programme.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL VOTERS DAY

Place: Sarugani

National Voters Day falls on 25th Jan of every year. The chief guest on that day was Mr. Messiya Dass, Thasildhar, Devakottai, Mr. Kirshnan, Revenue Inspector, and Mr. Mallika Arjun, Election Deputy Thasilthar Devakottai. The Rally was flagged by Thasilthar. Mr. Messiya Dass. The rally was started from Sarugani to Our College. After the rally the students took the oath from our Idhaya auditorium in the presence of Mr. Messiya Dass, Thasildhar, Devakottai. Our students gave the wonderful speech about the voter’s rights. After her speech the chief guest expressed the awareness about the necessity of voters Identicard, Voter’s rights. The programme was ended with national anthem. Nearly 100 Rotaract members were participated and benefited.

INSTALLATION OF SANITARY VENDING & INCINERATOR MACHINE
Date: 04.02.2020
Place: Idhaya Auditorium

Hygiene is two thirds of Health. One who maintains cleanliness keeps away diseases. To signify the need of hygiene, our Rotaract club initiated the step to install “Napkin Vending Machine” The coordinator and the members forwarded a request to Devakottai Rotary Club. Considering the health and hygiene of students, The Devakottai Rotary Club came forward to donate. On 4.2.2020 the machine was installed. For this installation function Rtn. R. Antony Xavier, Rotary President of Devakottai, felicitated the function. Our Principal Dr. Sr. C. Jothi Mary thanked the donors of machine. Rtn. PHF. Chinna Sevugan, Past President, East RA Puram Chennai, introduced the chief guest. Rtn. PHF. PR. Selvam Alagappan Past President, East RA Puram, Chennai expressed the chief guest address. Finally the programme was ended with national anthem.
