HISTORY
The Department of Fashion Technology and Costume Designing was introduced in the year 2015 with Under Graduate Course. In the year 2016, Diploma in Beautician and Diploma in Fashion Designing were introduced.

2016 - 2017
FASHIONISTA the club of Fashion Technology and Costume Designing was organized its one day international seminar on 23rd August 2016. The topic of the seminar was “RETAILED DESIGNING OF COSTUMES”. The human resource of the seminar was Mrs.Sharmila, Senior coordinator in XL Catlin Insurance, London, Mr.S.Nazurdeen, coordinator, CDC , Trichy and Mr.Pandiya Rajan, General Manager, Vespa Textile Mills, kallal. Nearly 90 Students were Participated and enjoyed the session.
2017 - 2018
Department of Fashion Technology and Costume Designing organized One Day International Seminar on 19th December, 2017. Rev. Dr.C.Jothimary, Principal presided over the function. The Chief guests were Mr.L.Vinslin Christopher, Mr.J.Sathyanaryan and Mr.G.P.Sheejith Monish. They addressed on the topic of “Textile and Fashion Industry Carrier Opportunities Design Innovations”
2018 - 2019
Arts & Fashion Fiesta – Department of Fashion Technology and Costume Designing has organized an “Arts & Fashion Fiesta” Exhibition on 16th August, 2018 in the closed Auditorium. Nearly 12 schools were participated with 137 (XI –XII Std) students. Rev.Sr.Jessi Mathew, Principal, Infant Jesus, Matric Higher Sec. School, Devakottai was invited as a Resource Person. Our students exhibited their talents by performing Mime & Fashion Show. The prize winners were awarded with Shields and Certificates. The students and staff from schools came voluntarily and shared their feedback about the Exhibition and the atmosphere of the College. The staff from various schools were honoured with shawl.
