"Commerce With Computer Applications Is A Powerful Means To Connect The Unconnected To Global Trade".
Computers play a vital role in managing various accounts related to the business. To impart advanced learning to students in the discipline of Commerce, particularly involving the application of software technology in professional requirements, merging the academic specialties of Commerce and Computer Applications, we have introduced Under Graduation Course Commerce with Computer Application in the year 2005.
To enrich the knowledge in Commerce and Computer in Higher Studies, we launched Post Graduation in Commerce with Computer Applications in the year 2014.

| 2019-2020 | ONE DAY WORKSHOP | DATE: 26.9.2019 |
Our Department conducted one day Workshop on 26.09.2019 at 10.AM. The function started with TamilThaiValzhu. Prof. Dr.S.Ayyampillai, Department of Economics, Bharathidhasan University, Trichy was the chief guest of this function. The workshop was designed in two sessions. In the 1st session the chief guest gave the topic on “Recent trends in current scenario” and the 2nd session he gave the motivational talk about the aptitude test for Competitive Exam. Nearly 250 students and 10 staff members were benefited of this Workshop. Finally the function ended with national anthem.

One day workshop was organized by our department on 08.01.2020 Wednesday at closed auditorium. Mr.S.Darvin and Mr. Mydhin, Trainer Kalvi Institute of Technology Madurai was the chief guest on that day. Mr. Mydhin spoke the title about “Tally with GST”. He explained about the introduction and Goods and Service Tax clearly and motivates the students to learn the Tally Accounting Software. Nearly 200 students were benefited and updated their knowledge about that package.

Our Department conducted one day workshop on 25.01.2020 at management block. The function started with prayer song. Dr. S.U.Ilanchezhiyan, Director, professional Education Study Centre Coimbatore was the chief guest of this function. The chief guest gave the topic on “A disclosure requirement while presenting the financial statement of corporate entity”. This workshop will help the students in future those who are doing the business. Through is workshop we learned the practical accounting procedure and many of the section of companies ACT 1956. Nearly 150 students and 6 of our staff members were benefited of this workshop. Finally the function ended with national anthem.

PG and Research Department of Commerce with Computer Application organized one-day webinar title “Academic Research Writing”. The google forms were designed for collecting responses and sent it as flyer and poster sent a week before for circulation. Nearly 900+ respondents were registered. Out of that 687 respondents were joined in a WhatsApp group. The respondents were divided into three groups like ARW 01, ARW 02 and ARW 03 and conducted webinar on 01.05.2020 at 11 – 12 noon and 4-5pm. The next day (02.05.2020) the balance candidates were called on to attend the webinar during 4 – 5 pm. GoToWebinar App was used to conduct online webinar. The resource person was Dr. A. Iyappan, Post-Doctoral Fellow, Alagappa Institute of Management, Alagappa University, Karaikudi. Dr. V. Sivakumar, Associate professor, Department of Logistics Management, Alagappa University, Karaikudi was presided over the function. The webinar started with prayer and welcome address. All the attendees were issued participation certificates.
| 2019-2020 | Online Quiz Competition |
Department of Commerce with Computer Applications conducted online Quiz competition on Income Tax – Income from Salary. The required details to answer quiz is given in 21 slides. Google form was created and circulated for registration. Nearly 386 participants were registered. It was arranged that 100 e- certificates were created and distributed per day. The flyer was circulated and asked the attendees to participate in the quiz from 18th May to 20th May 2020. The certificates were generated to the attendees those who have scored more than 50%.
National Conference - 05.03.2016
The Department of Commerce with Computer Application organized One Day National Conference on “GLOBALISATION AND ITS IMPACT IN RECENT SCENARIO” on 05.03.2016. Dr.A.M.Mohamed Sindhasha, Head, PG Dept of Commerce and Business Administrations, Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy and Dr.V.Arumugam Asst. Professor in Corporate Secretaryship, Alagappa Institute of Management, Karaikudi were the Chief Guests for this function. Students and Staff from various colleges were participated.
The Department of Commerce with Computer Application organized One Day National Seminar on E-BANKING on 16.03.2017. Dr.L.J.Charles was the chief guest for this function. Students and Staff from various colleges were participated and presented the papers. We conducted several competitions like Rangoli, Pencil Drawing and Paper Presentation. The chief guest Dr.L.J.Charles distributed the prizes to the winners. Finally the function ended with national anthem.
27.09.2017
Department of Commerce with Computer Application, Department of Commerce, and Department of Business Administration organised Inter-collegiate Meet “MGT MEGA FEST 2017” on 27.09.2017 at Idhaya Auditorium. Our Principal Rev. Dr. Jothimary presided over the function. The chief guest was Dr. S. Selvarani, Principal, Sri Saradha Nikethan College, Amaravathiputhr. She delivered a valuable speech about “You Can Win”. On that day we conducted Ad- Act, Rangoli, Fireless Cooking, Old Dual Dance and Paper Presentation. Nearly 400 students and 30 faculty members were participated. Finally the prize winners were awarded with prizes. Certificates were provided to all the participants. The programme successfully ended with National Anthem.
NATIONAL SEMINAR

Our Department along with the Department of Commerce conducted One Day National Seminar on 04.10.2018 at 10.00 am in the College Auditorium. Mrs R.Bhuvaneswari Asst. Professor Department of Commerce with Computer Applications had welcomed the respected dignitaries and the gathering.
Rev.Dr. C. Jothimary, Principal felicitated the function. This day was unmemorable day because our Department published an International Journal tied up with Shanlax International Journals of Commerce with ISSN No.: 2320-4168. The resource persons were Dr.V.Murugan, Teaching Assistant, Great Lake Institute of Management, Kanchipuram and Dr.M.Gurupandi, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Alagappa University, Karaikudi. The topic of the seminar was “Emerging Trends in Business and Management”. Students from other Colleges were participated and presented their papers. Dr.V.Murugan, F.Arockia Samy, Asst.Professor of Commerce Ananda College, Devakottai, Mr.Kathirvel, Asst.Professor of Commerce, Sree Sevugan Annamalai College Devakottai, evaluated the presentations and gave suggestions to the presenters. Certificates were given to all the participants. Finally the function concluded with National Anthem.
SEMINAR
Our Department organized One Day Seminar in collaboration with Commerce and Commerce with Computer Applications On 20.03.2019 at our College Campus. The Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. V.Manickavasagam Formerly Registrar, Controller of Examinations and Dean Management, Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He delivered his special address on the topic “Consumer Awareness and Rights”.
